Jochen Wolfram (CV)
Geboren am 22.12.1966 in Sendenhorst bei Münster lebe ich heute in Damme/Dümmerlohausen direkt am Dümmersee. Nach der Schule lernte ich den Beruf des Landmaschinenmechanikers und ging danach für 12 Jahre zur Bundeswehr. Dort wurde ich zum Triebwerkmeister für Helikopter und Hubschraubermechanikermeister ausgebildet. In den letzten 2 Jahren nutzte ich dann die Zeit der Berufsförderung um noch den Maschinenbautechniker mit Fachrichtung Konstruktion zu erlangen. Seit 1999 bin ich Selbstständig im Bereich Wassersport mit Ausrüsten von Booten und Masten. Meine Hobbys sind Skifahren (qualifizierter Ski-Instruktor) und Segeln was ich seit Juli 2005 als Profi betreibe.
Leidenschaft: Segeln
Von Kindesbeinen an, kam ich im Alter von 6 Jahren in Kontakt mit dem Segelsport. Zunächst in der Opti-Klasse segelnd, wechselte ich 1978 in den Pirat, der mich dann 12 Jahre bis 1989 begleitete. Danach segelte ich von 1989 bis 1997 aktiv 15qm Jollenkreuzer.
Von 1994 bis 2005 sammelte ich Erfahrungen mit dem H-Boot, Drachen und bei vielen großen Maxi (Swan, Wally) Regatten und Weltmeisterschaften. 1997 begann die sportliche Karriere zusammen mit Reinhardt Schmidt erfolgreich in der Starbootklasse. Diese endete 2000 mit der verpaßten Olympia Qualifikation für Sydney. Von 2001-2003 segelte ich dann mit verschiedenen Steuerleuten im Starboot bis ich mitte 2003 mit Alexder Hagen zusammen kam. Alex und ich erreichten im Frühjahr 2004 die Olympia-Fahrkarte und nahmen in Ahten an den Olympischen Spielen teil. All diese Erfolge und meine berufliche Ausbildung trugen dazu bei das ich 2005 als Segelprofi im United Internet Team Germany aufgenommen wurde und im America´s Cup 2007 segel. Von 2007 bis 2008 als Segler und Techniker während der Baufase im russischen Volvo Ocean Team.

Jochen Wolfram
I was born in Sendehorst near Münster 22.12.1966 and today I reside in Damme/Dümmerlohausen, by the shores of Lake Dümmer. After my school education I qualified as an agricultural machine mechanic and then joined the German Army for 12 years. where I trained as an engine master technician and helicopter master technician. During my final 2 years in the military I used the opportunity of job promotion to acquire skills as a mechanical engineering technician in the specialist field of construction. I have been self-employed in the water sports sector since 1999, specialising in equipping boats and masts. My hobbies are skiing (I am a qualified ski instructor) and sailing, which I have been pursuing as a professional since July 2005.
My passion: sailing
I have been in contact with the sport of sailing since the age of 6, first in the Opti class, then changing to the Pirate class in 1978, in which I sailed for 12 years until 1989. I then actively sailed 15 sqm dinghy cruisers between 1989 and 1997.
From 1994 to 2005 I gained experience with the H-boat, Dragon and at many large maxi (Swan Wally) regattas and world championships. In 1997 I successfully began my sporting career in the Starboat class, together with Reinhardt Schmidt. This ended in the year 2000 when we failed to qualify for the Sydney Olympic Games. Between 2001-2003 I then sailed with various helmsmen in a star boat until I started to work with Alexander Hagen in mid 2003. Alex and I obtained Olympic qualification in the spring of 2004 and took part in the Athens Olympic Games. These successes, together with my occupational training, led to me being accepted as a sailing professional in the United Internet Team Germany in 2005, sailing in the 2007 America's Cup and 2008/09 in the Volvo Ocean Projetc fort he Russia team.
